Spectradom (English: [spɛktɹədʌm]) is the planet on which the events of Drawn to AfterLife take place. It is also referred to in-universe as Péjin (Debazi: [pae̯dʒin]).

Etymology[edit | edit source]

"Spectradom" is a combination of "spectrum" and the suffix "-dom." Series creator Astaryuu has said directly that "Spectradom" is meant to be a play on the idea of "Christendom", or the area in which Christianity is prevalent.

Planetary characteristics[edit | edit source]

The planet has very similar planetary characteristics to Earth, with the same day length and orbital period around its sun. Spectradom also has a similarly sized moon at a similar distance to Earth's moon.

However, there are differences. The other planets in the solar system of Spectradom look somewhat different to those around Earth, and while many of the constellations have the same themes as Earthly ones, they generally have different shapes.

Land and water formations[edit | edit source]

Spectradom world map There are only five continents in Spectradom, most of which are conjoined into one crescent-shaped continental mass referred to as Quill-Skulyphine or Prasenha. Prasenha is not a supercontinent, but it likely was one in the recent past, based on the proper motion of it and the two Gomensais. Dividing Quillan from Skulyp and Graphine is a large mountain range, while Quillan and Skulyp are separated by a hilly desert rift.

Mangell, one of the disconnected continents, is comprised of two sub-continents, Huagan and Divella, which are conjoined in a rift valley as the two split apart, much as Graphine appears to be doing in Prasenha.

"Gomensai" is comprised of two continents, but the southern one, which also encompasses Spectradom's south pole, is mostly uninhabited, so the northern continent is typically referred to as just "Gomensai."
